The Duke Of YorkInspiring Digital Enterprise Award (iDEA)
A new way for people to learn digital and enterprise skills and showcase their achievements to potential employers.
iDEA is a digital and enterprise version of The Duke of Edinburgh Award in which participants complete a series of challenges to achieve an award at Bronze, Silver or Gold level. For every new skill and learning experience mastered, iDEA participants gain a digital badge worth a number of points. When sufficient points have been accumulated, participants are then awarded their Bronze, Silver or Gold Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award.
The iDEA programme is free for all to participate in and badges are awarded by completing online challenges, or by attending workshops in specific areas run by iDEA partner organisations. Learners participating in certain Tablet Academy Workshops will qualify for an iDEA badge equating to 20 points towards the Bronze Award (250 points).
COLLECT BADGES AND EARN YOUR IDEA BRONZE AWARD
iDEA challenges are split into four main categories, each with its own series of badges to be won - Citizen, Worker, Maker and Entrepreneur.
To achieve a Bronze Award participants need to win at least 40 points in each of the categories and 250 points overall.
Badges are awarded to participants who complete an online activity or attend an event like a Tablet Academy workshop.
