
The role of a Teacher's Technology Apprentice is to support teachers to embed the use of digital technology in the classroom and to help maintain technology in the school by working with your current IT provider.
Teacher's Technology Apprentice
Annual Apprentice Salary starting at £6,100 per year (term time only)The Teacher's Technology Apprentice is delivered by Primary Goal, a digital industries apprenticeship training provider. The aim of the programme is to embed the use of technology in education by providing Teacher’s Technology Apprentices who can support the use of digital technology in the curriculum across all subjects and maintain technology equipment and resources. An apprentice can help to:
- Resolve daily onsite IT support issues.
- Act as a link to your remote Service Level Agreement (SLA)
IT support - Work onsite with teachers to plan the use of devices across
the curriculum, then co-deliver these into lessons - Establish and deliver extra-curricular clubs linked to
technology (e.g. coding, Minecraft, Lego, Mini-Geek Squad) - Maintaining your website and social media presence
- Increase teacher and learner confidence; and in-turn, their
motivation in the use of digital technology & innovation
Whilst in post the apprentice will receive ongoing support and training from Primary Goal, as well as access to support and resources from Tablet Academy's experienced educators.

Whole School Approach
Digital Strategy £1,500 (+vat)Schools committing to a Teacher's Apprentice can opt in to additional school wide Tablet Academy support. This support can involve a process which involves evaluating the current or desired use of technology within your school (or trust) allowing us to create a bespoke strategy and ongoing support plan. The Transformation Programme is charged at £1,500 or the cost can be incorporated into one of the annual support packages below by allocating 1 full-day or 3 half-days.
